Google’s Android 16 update will organise Quick Settings tiles into categories, making it easier to find and add features.
Currently, the Quick Settings editor displays a long, unorganised list. Android 16 will categorise tiles into groups such as Accessibility, Connectivity, and Display.
Android 16’s categorised Quick Settings will greatly benefit users with disability, including those who are blind or have low vision, physical disability, or cognitive disability, by providing easier navigation, simplified access, and clearer organisation.
The update streamlines tile management and enhances usability. Android 16 is expected to launch next year. For more information, please read androidauthority’s article on Google’s Android 16’s accessibility updates.
