Samsung Electronics is working to make technology more accessible and inclusive for everyone.
Ivona, Senior Vice President of Samsung Electronics, emphasises that “‘AI for everyone’ means allowing anyone to naturally benefit from technology in everyday life.”
Samsung’s new initiatives include Bixby accessibility settings based on voice ID technology, and the Auto Open Door feature has been expanded to more products like refrigerators, washing machines, ovens, and dishwashers. They are also adding tactile stickers on product buttons and accessibility sounds to enhance usability. Samsung has collaborated with experts and institutions to improve accessibility in these areas.
Employee groups, like the Samsung Family Supporters and Accessibility Employee Resource Group, contribute to these efforts. Samsung aims to comply with the European Accessibility Act and continues to develop innovative solutions, such as the AI-based visual aid app Sullivan Plus, to make technology more accessible for all.
