On the 7th of May, Centre for Accessibility Australia (CFA Australia) organised a successful workshop focusing on digital accessibility in Mandurah.
Dr. Scott Hollier, a prominent figure in the field, led the presentation, delivering insights and expertise on digital accessibility. Combined with his knowledge and lived experience of disability, he spoke about the importance of creating digital platforms and content that are inclusive and accessible to everyone. Attendees had the opportunity to explore various aspects of digital accessibility, including best practices, tools, and techniques for ensuring compliance with accessibility standards. Through a practical exercise with an assistive technology tool, participants gained valuable insights into making their digital assets more user-friendly and accessible. The scones for morning tea were also a delight!
The workshop was successfully coordinated by Julia Wheeler, Event Coordinator at CFA Australia. Thanks also to Training Officer Jenny Carvalho and Intern Hanna Hailu.
CFA Australia extends their sincere gratitude to the City of Mandurah for sponsoring the workshop.
Stay tuned for more workshops!
