Google has announced its latest Android update, which includes two new accessibility features.
Expressive Captions, one of the new features, makes audio captions more immersive for people who are deaf or hard of hearing. This feature uses a combination of uppercase and lowercase text, phonetic transcriptions, and more to convey key aspects of sound.
In addition to Expressive Captions, Google has also improved its image description capabilities. Spoken Image Descriptions provides more detailed and helpful descriptions of images for people who are blind or with low vision. These descriptions can be spoken aloud, supporting follow-up questions.
These new features are now available on Android devices. For more information, please read yahoo tech’s article on Google’s new accessibility features.
