The Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Trust (MCET) has implemented various digital accessibility measures to improve the online experience for visitors with disability.
The trust’s website now meets the WCAG 2.0 Level AA Accessibility Guidelines, featuring clear navigation, high contrast colours, and screen reader compatibility.
Additionally, virtual tours of the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC) are available, allowing visitors to plan and navigate their visit more easily.
MCET plans to introduce digital wayfinding tools and ensure that all digital content, including event materials and communications, is accessible and usable by people with disability.
The trust will also work with event organisers to ensure that event apps and digital platforms are inclusive.
MCET’s efforts are part of a broader commitment to accessibility, alongside physical accessibility measures at its venues.
