The New South Wales Department of Education is launching a cloud-based platform to enhance support for students with disability. The new portal, built on Salesforce Education Cloud, aims to streamline resource allocation and reduce administrative burdens on schools.

Scheduled for rollout in late 2025, the platform replaces the existing JBOSS and OpenShift-based system. Sydney-based Ingenuity Partners has been contracted to design and develop the new platform at a cost of $5 million until August 2027.

According to an NSW Education spokesperson, the upgrade aligns with the department’s “reuse before rebuild” policy, ensuring cost-effectiveness and minimising risk.

This move expands NSW Education’s existing partnership with Salesforce, which already provides CRM, case management, and grants management capabilities. The state government recently extended its whole-of-government deal with Salesforce until June 2028.
