The NSW Labor government has launched a new digital roadmap, outlining five key missions: accessibility, productivity, trust, resilience, and digital skills.
The roadmap is part of the NSW Digital Strategy, which aims to bridge the digital divide in the state.
A government survey found that one in five people in NSW lack essential digital skills, particularly those over 65 and from low-income households.
The roadmap focuses on improving access to digital services, boosting productivity, enhancing trust through secure platforms, and increasing emergency resilience.
It also aims to improve digital accessibility within the public sector to better deliver digital services.
The government has already introduced initiatives like the Easy Read hub and updated AI frameworks as part of the strategy.
Minister Jihad Dib stated that the strategy is focused on creating more inclusive and accessible digital services across NSW.
