On Tuesday, November 26, 2024, Centre for Accessibility Australia (CFA Australia) hosted a highly engaging and informative workshop at the City of Perth Library. The event, “Your Digital Device and Accessibility Showcase,” brought together individuals with disability, support workers, and organisations passionate about promoting digital inclusivity.

The workshop provided a hands-on exploration of the key accessibility features found in popular digital devices, including computers, smartphones, tablets, streaming TV devices, and gaming consoles.

Attendees had the opportunity to bring their own devices and learn how to utilise their accessibility features.

A panel of a team of specialists from CFA Australia, including Nicholas Kapirnas, Christopher Edwards, Kieran Hayward, Jasmine Lee, and Aarthi Gurunathan, shared their knowledge and answered questions during an interactive Q&A session.

The presenters showcased examples of accessibility features in various devices, highlighting the potential for technology to support individuals with diverse disability needs.

The event provided a valuable platform for knowledge-sharing, and promoting digital accessibility in Western Australia.

CFA Australia would like to extend thanks to the Department of Communities WA for the sponsorship of this event.
